About JBA
Founded in Milton Keynes in 2025 by England International badminton player Sam Jones, Jones Badminton Academy (JBA) has quickly become one of the area's fastest-growing junior badminton programmes, now delivering coaching sessions across Milton Keynes for children aged 5–15 years.
Our experienced coaching team includes current international players competing on the European and World Tours, bringing a wealth of playing and coaching experience to every session. We combine high-quality coaching with a fun, inclusive environment where every child can play, grow and shine.
Guided by our philosophy of Play. Grow. Shine., we aim to inspire a generation of young people to discover, enjoy and develop a lifelong love for badminton.

Shuttle Stars
At Jones Badminton Academy, all of our junior sessions are delivered through Badminton England's Shuttle Stars programme, providing a fun, structured and progressive coaching pathway for young players aged 5 and over. 🏸
Shuttle Stars is Badminton England's national 6-stage grassroots programme, designed to introduce children to badminton through engaging activities, skill development and personal achievement. Each stage builds on the last, helping players develop their movement, racket skills, confidence and love for the game at a pace that suits them.
Our sessions are led by experienced coaches and current international players, creating a positive environment where children can learn, make friends and enjoy being active. Whether your child is picking up a racket for the very first time or looking to continue their badminton journey, Shuttle Stars provides the perfect foundation.

Jones Badminton Academy stands out for its commitment to individualized attention, certified coaches, and a welcoming environment that fosters learning and growth.
At JBA our coaching team is made up of many current professional badminton players who compete for England across the world. We bring years of experience at all levels of the game - from recruiting and introducing new players to the sport right through to nurturing and developing some of the very best junior talent in the country.
All of our sessions are led by Badminton England–qualified Level 2 coaches who hold up-to-date memberships, insurance, enhanced DBS checks, and Safeguarding & Protecting Children qualifications. They are supported by a dedicated team of Level 1 and Level 2 assistant coaches, along with young, aspiring coaches and current high-level players who are developing their coaching experience with us. We also endeavour to have a qualified first aider present at every session.
